When Shawn Baldwin
decided to work on value creation series, he thought that it should
begin with some famous personality. So, he started it with entrepreneur Carlos Slim.
Shawn Baldwin lives in USA. He is a financier, trader and investor. He
is also president and CEO of the trading and investment firm, Capital
Management Group. It is based in Chicago.
First job which he did was at American Express. He used to advertise the company’s credit cards. He also worked in the U.S. Bancorp in Chicago and later on for Optima Investment Research. The Capital Management Group was founded in the year 2001. He started value creation series with Carlos Slim who is a Mexican business magnate, investor and philanthropist.
He is the richest person in the world, surpassing Bill Gates. Presently, he is the chairman and chief executive of telecommunications company America Movil. He was taught basic business practices by his father. He bought shares in a Mexican Bank at the age of 12. He worked for his father’s company at the age of 17. Later on he went to study civil engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. After his graduation, he began his career as a trader in Mexico.
Carlos Slim formed his own brokerage firm that later expanded to invest in individual businesses such as construction, manufacturing and retail etc. His earlier career was in the fields such as construction, real estate and mining. He gave his formula for success to Shawn Baldwin. He said that we should remain positive and live present life fully.
